Facilitators

Ricki Bloom is a Licenced Clinical Social Worker and educator. She offers trauma informed care while connecting community with resources. Ricki uses her lived experience of mental illness, homelessness and addiction to educate and grow compassion in her community.

iusti remer-thamert is a body worker and organizer with community groups including ABQ Showing Up for Racial Justice and The Hook Up harm reduction collective. Their background in migrant justice, faith organizing, body centered practices and Theater of the Oppressed guides their work to develop abolitionist communal care models.

This session follows up on Abby Shain’s “Safety is Communal” training in the Fall of 2021, and is the first in a series of trainings to help us intentionally reconnect with our community, as well as to provide the resources for communal safety.
