behold & be held: An evening of original songs by Adam Horowitz
Join local artist and organizer, Adam Horowitz, for an evening of original music—featuring heartfelt "ditties", New Mexico nigunim, and original settings to the words of Heschel and Buber. This is Adam's first concert!—and a debut for many of the songs on behold & be held, a home-recorded album about which Adam writes: "Songwriting became an unexpected anchor for me [during the pandemic]: a practice for directing attention amidst turbulence, for returning to wonder and reverence amidst uncertainty, for stumbling toward mystery, even—or especially—when the path is hard to come by." Interspersed throughout the evening there will be opportunities to sing along.
