Costumes: We have a costume theme this year - NATURE! dress up as your favorite animal, flower, tree, bird, fish, reptile, mountain... anything in the natural world!
Food: Pizza and Salad ($3/person) Pizza available while supplies last – arrive at 1:00 PM for Pizza! + Hamantaschen for all.
Bake-off Contest: Bake a dozen Hamantaschen to enter our Hamantaschen Bake-off.
Fun: Purim spiel created and performed by our Cheder Religious school students along with Purim songs in Yiddish, Hebrew and Ladino. Costume contest parade for all and dancing with Rikud to the music of The Nahalat Shalom Community Klezmer Band.
Megillah: Cantor Beth Cohen will chant a few lines from Megilat Ester in Hebrew in the traditional trope melody. Our pre-b'Mitzvah students will lead the prayers before reading and Cantor Beth will lead the prayer after reading.
Purim Mitzvot - a mitzvot of Purim is to support those in need. Please bring one or more items from the list for New Day.
Prizes: Prizes for best children and adult costumes. Prizes for our Hamantaschen bake-off winner!
