Sones Jarochas y canciones de Sefarad. In this unique concert created for Festival Sefardí, Laura Rebolloso y Las Flores del Valle explore the connections between son jarocho, , and the Sephardic music of Spain.

Laura Rebolloso, from Xalapa, Veracruz, is a singer, dancer and virtuoso performer on the Leona. She is an expert in the genre of son jarocho, a regional style of Mexican son and a genre that has become a focal point for arts activism in Mexico and the U.S.. Rebolloso has performed and recorded extensively, including several years during which she played in the internationally acclaimed ensemble, Son de Madera. She is a doctoral candidate at UNM. Las Flores del Valle is made up of Carol Vigil and Leila Flores-Dueñas. With Laura Rebolloso they have prepared a concert of Jarocho and Sephardic music especially for the festival!
