Direct from Tucumán, Argentina, Denise Léon is one of today’s leading Sephardic poets, the newest link in the chain of poets writing in Ladino.

Rachel Amado Bortnick is a native speaker of Ladino who grew up in Izmir, Turkey.

Expect to hear intergenerational dialogue about their memories of Izmir, the Ladino language and the Sephardic identity they share.
