This month’s poem - Invocación

Please join us as we celebrate Shabbat in the Sephardic tradition. Sofie Shefia will lead us in song and prayer, joined by Hershel Weiss, one of the founding organizers. The evening includes an opportunity for everyone to share from their heart, and Sephardic poetry readings presented by writer, researcher, teacher and translator Héctor Contreras López. In September, October and November we are reading poems by Venezuelan Sephardic poet Elías David Curiel.

Join us around the campfire! Dress warmly, bring a vegetarian dish and welcome shabbat in Nahalat Shalom’s beautiful courtyard. Our out of town friends and others who can’t be there physically are invited to participate via Zoom.
