Welcome to a magical evening of Sephardic poetry and song around the campfires in the beautiful courtyard at Nahalat Shalom. Amongst the new leaves of the fruit trees, the flowering pear and apple trees, the crocuses and daffodils, come partake in the vegetarian potluck dinner and tri-lingual poetry reading and personal sharing. Our special guests are Paolo Dutra and Fatima Cordeiro from UNM, reading in Portuguese. The poem this month is “Decimas” by 18th century crypto-Jewish Brazilian poet, and victim of the Inquisition, Antonio José da Silva. Bring a vegetarian potluck dish to share, and enjoy the company, the poetry and the singing.
