Pot luck dinner with poetry, songs and prayers in Ladino, Hebrew and Spanish. Led by Sofie Shefia Stephanie Cohen. Candle lighting at 6:30.

We will continue a three-month exploration of the poetry of Algerian born Erez Bitton, the first Mizrahi poet to receive the Israel Prize in Literature. His parents, originally from Morocco, moved to Israel in 1948 with Erez.

Be prepared to share your response to Zohra El Fassia, a beautiful poem, read out loud in English and Spanish (translated by Héctor Contreras López and Marciel Romero).

If you are able, please show up early and or stay late to help set up and clean up. And bring a vegetarian dish to share!
