Do you have a Jewish story about being out of place, about starting over, or about trying to make your way in new or unfamiliar surroundings? Have you ever felt like a stranger in a strange land, physically or emotionally? Do you have a story about something that happened to you personally, to your family or to someone you know? We are looking for six or seven people to participate - you do not have to be a storyteller. You just need to have a good true story.
Nahalat Shalom is sponsoring a community storytelling project and performance:
"Stranger in a Strange Land"
Saturday, January 25, Nahalat Shalom
6:30 pm: Havdallah and Dessert 7:00 pm Storytelling
Before the event, Batya Podos, an ordained Maggid (storyteller), will work individually with six or seven people to help them craft their stories into a storytelling

There is no cost to story tellers or the audience for the this project, which is supported by a grant from the JEWISH FEDERATION OF NEW MEXICO.
