Contemporary Jewish practice is based on a wide range of Jewish texts, from Biblical times through Medieval and early Modern writings. In this four-week course, we’ll look at commentaries from the Bible, Talmud, Midrash, Medieval commentaries, Kabbalistic and Hasidic writings and Siddurim. What are these and what do they have to do with American Judaism today?
Please get Barry Holtz’s book ““Back to the Sources: Reading the Classic Jewish Texts” which is widely available both new and used from a number of on-line sources.
When registered and paid, Zoom link will be provided
